Pulsar 180cc UG3 (go back »)

Hi Guys,
Here i am with some interesting things related to my BIKE PULSAR 180 UG3/Phantom.
Its been more than six months since i bought this bike.Bike is absolutely a gem in the bajaj history and Indian Bike history.

Cons/Problems
Well, the Bike is having some problems of its own kind lets go thruogh it quickly.
1. The False gear problem.
A lot is talked about this false gear problem of the pulsar but this is not a big deal the reason behind this is the false gear occures only when you try to go for next gear in hurry specially 4th to 5th gear. (Thats my observation :) ) so its can be easily avoided.

2. When you are really fast on this bike and you apply breaks suddenly the skids and the rear part of bike becomes very light and it thrusts pillion upwords due to which the pillion comes over the driver. This is very tricky situation Hope Bajaj guys look into this problem.

3. The Head light is bit powerless it should have been atleast 50-55 watts.

Pros
Now we will look into its Pros.
1. Looks of this bike are really gre8.

2. Performance is also gre8.
Milage is near abt 45-50 even i drive it very rashly and fast. At 65-85 KMPH it can easily give you 45-50 KMPL. I tried upto 120 on this bike and still no issue with its performance though it reaches 120 from 110 slowly. No wibes at all. Smooth like a knife in the butter.

3. The shock absorbers are really effective and the feeling is really soothing.

4. The seating position of the driver is really cool and it helps you to control the bike very effectively. I agree for some people its not that comfortable.

5. The bike is really gre8 powered and driving this you can feel it, it recalles the yamaha RX100.

Considering these factors the bike is great buy and gre8 feel. And it really gives the manly feel.
